Beware crapware that comes with pdfCreator and with ask.com

Problems with the Toolbar that comes with pdfCreator? = - or with ask.com?

I spent hours on these two problems. I did lots of things and can no longer recall the exact sequence. However there are useful links and answers here;

This might help - Right-click logo square to left of URL bar. Click customise and click restore original settings.
